Loaded 10mm from the lee book. 3 loads, 175 gr 14 bhn (according to lee tester, AA9, 12.2, 13, and 13.5 gr, 10 of each. I used a delta elite, and a steel witness.

I got so caught up in my evaluating, that i didn't check the barrels between loads. I didn't expect that much power out of the loads. Accuracy was terrible. I don't have absolute pure lead so I haven't slugged my bores yet. I tried using one of my new bullets, didn't work.

So I'm guessing what I need to do is slug my bore, and load another batch of varying velocities and see what works.

yes.
back down the loads some also.
you might want to consider water dropping your boolits the 9,ten&40 are high pressure rounds.
you need to work within the alloys peramiters.
but size is the first consideration.

Where, in the barrel, was the leading?

Did you pull a seated boolit and measure it to be sure it didn't get swaged down?

To me I saw smears all through the barrel. Your idea is good about looking at the swaging. I'm going to load some, and i'll check that as i go.

Leading the length of the barrel is an indication of a too small boolit.
