I remember reading about a guy, I think was from CO, that built singleshot rifles and made two or three SA revolvers with swingout cylinders. Now these pistols were not just a DA revolver that would only fire in SA mode. They were a different look all together.

The only info I have on the gunsmith was that he had to sell alot of his creations off die to the illness of his wife. I think I read about it in a GUN DIEGEST back in the late 80s.

Can anyone help with the gunsmiths's name and the SA revolver?

Thanks, Jerry

I had the GUNS magazine with these in it and will have to look for it. I understand the guns are in a museum in Colorado? As I remember they are chambered for 38 special and were made as target revolvers.

The ones I'm think of were ment to used as working guns. He built two of them. He shipped them both, but only one made it to the owner. The gunsmith stated he thought the postman must have stolen the other.

But his rifles were beautiful working arms. Strong actions and large neckdown calibers, if I'm remembering correctly.
