w/w in m/l

probably been beat to death but why is recommended that soft of pure lead be used for m/l ing purposes ?
just seem to get better boolits from w/w than pure
I am shooting a boolit similar to maxi hunter in 54 cal.:Fire:

They are just harder to load.
You might want to sweeten them with pure when you can find some. Roof Boots are great!
When I do that, I go 25% WW to 75% pure.
They are just harder to load. Use a glove on the ramrod. Saves the palm.
