Not a CB kill but a reload put this guy down. Havnt had the time to range test some of my cast 30-30 loads so I used something I know I've tested. Used a 170 grain corlock bullet on top of 33.3 grains of H414. He was looking in my direction at 137 yards in the cut over. Only shot possible was a neck shot. I was comfortable with the shot so I took it. This guy makes #4 for the season. Think I need a bigger freezer.

But a nice deer for you-good on you!
So far my reloads-not cast-accounted for a very large coyote, which should help the fawn crop next year, anyway.

That looks like a good 8 point you got. Congratulations.

Corelock bullet? How can that be....you should have had "bullet failure" instead of that very nice indeed buck:D
Just kidding of course but I couldn't resist a jab at those who think the old C&C bullets can't kill anything anymore. Must have an expensive "premium" bullet you know....hey, aren't cast bullets "premium" bullets too:lol:
Nicely done:drinks:

Thanks guys. This is my best hunting season with 4 deer so far. Last year I didn't even see one. That's just how it goes I guess.
I wish I could see ONE!
I did but I had an elk tag. Nice buck
