2024 SCAMMER WARNING
Cast Boolits has been dealing with a scammer for months now.
Multiple members have been scammed and its not just this forum but others that have been hit.
Typically the scammer finds a S&S posts that someone has responded to.
They make up a new member making only minor changes to the sellers name.
Examples -
Member Name - Bushwack
scammer name - .Buskwack
scammer name - Bushwack.
Another example -
member name - COUSIN DANIEL
scammer name -COUSlN DANIEL
You see how the upper case letter "I" was switched to the lower case letter "L".
They usually say something like "Congratulations on your purchase, please send payment via PayPal Friends and Family"
Before you do anything, I suggest that you verify the profile information to verify that the join date of the person that sent you the PM matches the join date of the person selling the item you want to buy.
If you send Paypal Friends and Family then you have NO recourse to get your money back.
CB has staff members online pretty much 24/7 and we do our very best to catch them before there is a problem.
